Hi,
I am using an Overland dlt drive that has 4 dlt super drives and 50 available slots. I just need so clarification on the best way to use this loader.
I will be backing up 1tb of data and I need to do it in one night. It doesn't seem possible to run one script and use all 4 drives at the same time. I have written 6 scripts that all execute at the same time and backup the same size drives, so trying to balance the data between the scripts.
Is this the only way to do this? If this is true it would seem that I may have tapes that are only partitially used. What happens if the last script needs more tape room, will it add it to a tape or over write a tape? All the tapes have the same name at the end of all the scripts.
I am using Arcserve 2000sp3 and the autoloader option.
Any tips would be most welcome.
Best wishes
Michael Curtis
