I guess I just do not understanding the posts and FAQ's in regard to the multiple detail bands in a report. If someone could dumb it down for me I'd really appreciate it. Here is what I'm trying to do;

I'm trying to create a report that has a paernt table and 2 child tables. There is only one record in the parent table and only the matching records in the child tables.

On the report I'd like to have a layout similar to this:

Report Header
(Parent table Stuff)

Title for info in Child 1
Band 1
(all Child Table 1 Data - could be several lines)

Title for info in Child 2
Band 2
(all Child Table 2 Data - could be several lines)

So in essence, I'd like ot list all the items in child 1 first with a title line and then list all the items in child 2 with a title line.

Can this be done?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Craig,
Thanks for the quick response!
This looks like exactly what I need. I always come here for my answers and never thought of going to MSDN. Next time I will do a little more digging before I post.

Thanks again,

Ed

Just a follow-up, these documents Craig has listed are extremely helpful to understand the new reporting functions of VFP 9. I was very easliy able to do exactly what I wanted!

Thanks again Craig.
