Multiple Db Instances for Crystal Enterprise v10 end-users

I have been trying get our Crystal Enterprise v10 to allow end users the choice of which Banner Db instance to run the report on. Currently the end user run the reports and they go against our production database. We would like to be able to give them a choice. And if we can't is there away to setup the Crystal Enterprise v10 and all the reports with a second Banner Db instance? We are currently on Crystal Enterprise 10 and have purchased version 11. I appreciate any help you can give me or point to me the direction to go.

From within CE you can't change the database based on a user selection. You would have to publish a second copy of each report that needs this and point it to the other database. The user would then select the report that goes to the database they want to run from. This is true no matter which version of CE you're using.

Don't forget you can use dynamic data connections to accomplish this, although I don't remember if the Business View Manager existed in version 10.
