Hello All,

I have a customer with a IPO 500v2 running 8.0
This is a small office with only four people.
Running Embedded VM. No VM Pro.

Normally there is a Receptionist who answers the call during the day office hours. At night it goes to AA and VM.

They want to setup a way so that when the Receptionist is out of the office, the other three folks can cover the Day incoming calls via their cell phone.

In other words, they want to push a button and when an outside call comes in, it is automatically re-directed to an outside cell number.

But each person would take turns taking all the calls for that day, so the forwarded number would change.

I was looking at creating multiple Hunt Groups that would be turned on and off but thought there might be an easier way of changing the Incoming Call Routing via short code or button programming.

I know there is a way, but as usual, trying to keep it simple for the users sake.

All help is appreciated!

Thanks!!

The place to start is to forward the main phone to one of the three extensions. Then simply use a button to enable call forward all on each extension where you have saved the cell number of that extension user. You can set aside three buttons on the main phone for this. But the idea is to set CF on each of the 3 extensions then choose which to CFWD the main phone to.

I would create an OOS group with the three other guys as a rotating group and enable mobile twinning for the three guys.

Mobile twinning doesn't work on POTS lines, must be PRI or SIP.
You will need to use call forward all. Create three buttons on the Receptionist phone, 1 button for each user.

I never think about POTS because we never use it ;-)

I think POTS are extinct in Germany since early 2000 :) even my parents have a BRI at home and they are in their late 70's

Exactly. It was a big thing to replace older systems around 2000 million replace POTS with ISDN.
