Multiple database servers on single physical server

I wanted to hear other's opinions of configurations for multiple database servers on the same physical server. For example, if you have a 4 processor unix server and have two database servers, would you set your NUMCPUVPS equal to 3 in both onconfig files, or would you set it to less since there are two database servers. Obviously the same question applies to other settings as well.
