Unsure how to explain so bear with me.

I am with a tiny company and also attend school. Another employee and I have multipe emails we access everyday. However, with me being at school we keep getting emails mixed up and unsure if he sent an email or not. We want to be able to access my outlook account from my computer and his. Then, if he reads an email or sends a reply I will know and viceaversa. Is this possible? Basically, all emails goes into one outlook setup but that file can be accessed from seperate computers.

It is possible, but it depends on your company's setup. In Microsoft Exchange you can set up group email accounts, or you could both login to the same account. The second option might be seen as a security issue, but that is up to your company.
Clearly you would need a server based system, so the mail is accessible to more that one client.

The easiest and cheapest option would be to copy each other in on replies using CC or BCC.

Thanks for the information. I will have to read up on the MS exchange and see what I can do with it. I have a small server that may work... I can only try. Allowing me and the other person to log into the same account would be great. That is only possible with using exchange and not a regular copy of outlook?... right?

Haha, I wish I could get everyone to just CC or BCC when they email but that will never happen.

A google search on outlook rule to bcc email yields many examples of how to set up an Outlook Rule to CC or BCC automatically.

It does seem like BCC needs an add-on but CC doesn't

Good Luck

Do you have OWA (Outlook Web Access) email? That would be a pretty easy solution where you or whomever else has your username/password could log onto a web based email. Everything would be in one place. Just a suggestion. :)

mscallisto - Not everyone here is using outlook. Most use the web based email from our website providor.

kbarr0411 - We do not have OWA. I will read into it.

It seems like either way I will have to spend some money to accomplish my goal with getting exchanger server.
