Hello folks,

I created a prompt in a report that gives me the ability to select multiple Clients from a picklist. No problem. Why when I create the exact same prompt in the catalog my ability to select multiple Clients disappears. I'm only able to select one choice from the picklist when I create the prompt in the catalog. Strange.

Stewm,

Generally, the ability to select more than once selection with a prompt is dependent on it's only being referenced with an 'IN' clause. Prompts can be used in many areas of the report (detail and summary filters, conditional formatting, calculated columns), so be sure to check all these areas. It's odd that it would work and then not work with the only difference being the source of the prompt.

I had to insert the prompt from catalog items instead of report items. I added the prompt to the report and then included the prompt in the filter from the report. This broke the multiple choice. By picking the prompt from catalog items when building the filter the multiple choice comes back. Quirky but it works now.
