I have 4 Bluetooth Barocde scanners that are also capable of connecting as a Serial Port connection. Right now I am collecting data from the scanners through a single inputbox on four computers that will then update a single text file. What I am wondering is... is it possible to run a script for each scanner on the same PC? Obviously the inputbox's would activate and collect data from the wrong scanner. The reason for going through inputbox is, I have the user scan in their name, scan two locations for verification etc.
I read something about detecting the serial port for the scanner and then doing an "app activate", but I cannot find anything for what I am trying to do. So I wanted to ask here if anyone has ever attempted such a thing or has any great ideas that might get me closer to what I need.
