We have just installed ArcServer 11.1 with the enterprise option. I have an IBM 4560SLX LTO 2 head drive with 28 media slots. Up until this point we used Legato for several years and the setup we had then was we had a save group that ran at 2:00 in the morning with a full save every day for one of our vendors macines. We had another that ran about midnight with a full on Sunday and incrementals the rest of the week. The third group started at 8:00 in the evening with a full save every day for all our other servers. These jobs all ran out of the same media pool and just took the next available tape. Is there a way to make ArcServer behave the same way.

We had our vendor set this up for us and they set it up with two jobs (one for the full/incremental and one for everything else) Each day seems to require a specefically labeled tape ie: mon1 mon2, tue1 tue2, and this is just not working.

If anyone has done this, or knows of some documentation that points us in the right direction please let me know.

Thanks
Doug

Sounds like a Global Scratch Set will take care of what you want. With it all Media Pools use the same Scratch Set for tapes to overwrite. Do a search in the Admin Guide on Global Scratch Set. The guide is on the CD in the docs directory.
