We use backup exec 9 and have a daily differential backup of 14 servers onto one backup tape (due to the small amount of data that gets backed up) which is then duplicated to a backup to disk folder.
The problem that we occasionally have is that if one of the servers goes down backup exec will backup all the servers up to it and then just sit there trying to backup the server thats fallen over. The servers after it in the schedule won't get backed up as the job doesn't complete.
Is there a setting somewhere which can tell backup exec to skip any servers that are down and continue on with the rest of the job?
