Multiple access to Hunt Group Mailbox 6

Can anyone help with this I have a new install 9.1.5 VMPRO they have a Hunt grop mailbox that they sometimes want 2 people to access together to take off the messages. When I try this with visual voice or a short code to the mailbox I get a message saying cant have multiple access to mailbox. Funny thing is I have tried this on our dem kit and it works fine the dem kit is 9.1.4 but I don't think that will be the problem but I will upgrade if nobody has any ideas. I have been through Manager and VMPRO and can't find anything that would allow it.Has anyone come across this?
 
You can't have two people in it at once, but two people can have access to it. Put an H before the group name in user\source numbers to light the lights and have it on the menu for visual voice. I can see where if the two people were to be in VV at the same time might cause issues.

Since even VV access to Voicemail is like a phone call I would think it is OK to block the second access.

To solve it the better way would be a group mailbox to send the messages to.

Another could be group voicemail broadcast to the members but I never tried that. I assume that messages read by one user will not be marked for the other users so you will perhaps recall the caller twice as reaction to the same message...
 
cannot have multiple users accessing the same voicemail at the same time. Only way I can think of is to have email forward/copy to email address which then resend the email to multiple emails.
 
A broadcast group email box that they all get access to such as support@petefishscustomer.com.uk

 
Defiantly can access the mailbox on our dem kit with 2 users at the same time and exactly same set up as customer site. I will try on other sites when I get chance. At the moment the dem kit is using App server for VM the other is on Windows7.I will be out on jobs all day but I will get back to any ideas as soon as I get chance thanks for response.
 
if you need Multiple useres collectig messages (for an out of horyus order line ass an example)
then Campaigns is the answer
otherwise as has alerady been stated only one user can accss a mailbox at any time (unless Avaya have changed something recently)
it is posible to setup VM Pro to change mailbox each tme a msg is left using user variables to provide multiple mailboxes for one function but it is messy.

( I recently came accros a lovely 'Logic Bomb' on a stte we inhereted with this setup whcih meant that if the user variable became corrupted the call would simply loop & never go to either mailbox)




Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
It sounds like our dem kit must be the only one that does it then, but it works perfectly from visual voice or from the short code and you access the next message that then becomes a old message. As anyone else had it working did it work in early versions and with upgrading this system through the years it as kept the ability to do it. Or is it a bug on our system if it is I want to keep it.
