Multiple 3 COM Access Point Setup

We have three Office Connect wireless G access points.

I have a barcode scanner using it. You have to hardcode the SSID into the scanner. I want to be able to roam with it.

What is the best way to do this?

Same SSID on all AP's? Then should I use same channel or unique channels? Does that matter?

Please help
