I have been having this issue for some time now and have not been able to find a resolution.
I have a folder containing various multimedia files that are served up to my home network.
All windows clients are able to access and stream the files normally.
All linux clients are able to access the files fine but they will not stream.
I am also unable to mount the share via fstab, but can browse to the share via dolphin/konqueror fine.
Document type files open in the relevant application fine also. It is just the multimedia files that are a problem.
I am not sure whether this is a server side or client side issue.
If someone is able to give me some advise that would be very much appreciated.
