Multimedia MCI Control

Where is it???

It's mentioned in all the reference sources but nobody bothers to say where to get it from. It's not in my standard ToolBox and I can't seem to find it, search as I might, through Project Components and/or References. How do I bring this sucker onto my form??? I must be missing something obvious, right?

ps - I do have a sound card and CD player.

You need to add the Microsoft Multimedia Control 6.0 component to your project. The control object is called MM control and not MCI control that's probably why you haven't found it

I have looked high and low under Project\Components, in the lists under both the 'Controls' and 'Insertable Objects' tabs, and under Projects\References, checking every possible word combination I can think of, including the one you suggest, and have come up empty. The funny thing is, I used to have access to this Control. The difference is, I have changed my Operating System from Windows 98 to Millenium Edition. Could this be the reason?

That's weird... it could have something to do with your operating system change, but don't quote me on that one.
When you go to Project->Components->Multimedia Control 6.0 and select it, it won't appear an object called MM control on your objects frame?
It should appear if it's not appearing something is wrong, I suggest you try to contact microsoft with this one and see if there is any incompatibility with ME, but it seems a bit strange I think at least the object should appear...
Let me know if you find out what the problem is.
