Hi there,
I work on a site with a large number of .mov, qt, wav, wmv etc. files.
When I review the web stat report, under "Failure Report" the a large portion of listed failures are of the above type file. The description for this section of the report is:
This report lists the files that caused failures, for example files not found.
Listing the top 30 files by the number of failed requests, sorted by the number of failed requests.
Now, thing is, if I go and test the any of these files, they come up fine in my machine. Also tested by starting a download and interrupting to see if this would show up as a failure, and it doesn't.
Wonder if anyone knows what causes the failure, or if there is a method which would reduce (in a perfect world, stop) the number of failures for these file types.
Thoughts and/or help appreciated.
The stat software we use is:
Regards,
Bob
