Hi all, I am a newbie for web site design. I couldn't find a better place to post this message so I posted it here. I have created simple sites with pictures and text. But I want to find out what I need, to have multimedia on my site, for instance, I would like to find out how I could broadcast my own videos and music to people who visit my site. What equipment do I need to convert regular videos to internet ready videos and what type of hosting service requirements are going to be needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI jercisneros !
depends what u want to make as a final system...will this be a "broadcasting station" of video and music or are we talking about playing a little sound when the user looks at the particular page?
also, when u say broadcast...is this = 24/7 or a 10 seconds of a clip?
anyhow, post back_

You are right, I should have been more descriptive about what I want to do. Ok, I am DJ/Animator and I host spanish filmed events. I want to put short clips of all the filmed events and I want to play samples of the music I play. Now, I don't want to break any laws by posting MP3's to download, but I want the person visiting my web site to listen to the different music I play. I hope I made myself a little bit clearer.

Thanks for your response.

Jerry

ok....most of this stuff u can do with HTML...if ur looking into hosting more fancy stuff I would look into making flash driven site...or at least the "media" part of it...

And as for video clips you will want to use the <EMBED> tag in HTML to show the clips in the pages.

Hope this helps!
