If I use a text box set to multiliine, in Netscape I always get a sideways scroll, no matter what I set the value of the scroll to.. virutal, physical or default.

This is the code I use...

<textarea name=&quot;textarea&quot; style=&quot;background:D0E7A6&quot; cols=&quot;30&quot; rows=&quot;3&quot; wrap=&quot;VIRTUAL&quot;></textarea>

raznov,

Sorry if this is a dum-dum question, but are there any spaces in your text? I ask because &quot;wrap&quot; keys off spaces. If you have no spaces, just one long string, then you will see one long horizontal string no matter how you have your wrap set.

I have this same problem with one of my online apps, but there's really nothing I can do about this, as the strings can be thousands of characters or more long and have no spaces. Just par for the course.

Cheers,

Hey, thanks for the response. It is so strange.. I did figure the problem out last week though and you are right that as I was testing it, I just held down one key and then I would, get the sideways scroll. But if I type and even if the word continues on beyone the line, it does wrap... if you are typing normally... I feel like the dumb dumb. Thanks again...
