Hi, can anyone tell me how to set this up as it is utterly undocumented and both Google and IBM's site fails to help.

I've tried to just set a 225.0.0.1 alias but it won't even respond to pings...

Thanks

Right, in case anyone is wondering, the only thing needed is this:

route add -net 224.0.0.0 -netmask 240.0.0.0 192.168.225.50

No need to do anything else, it's apparently up to the application to freely use IP addresses in the multicast range. I can ping via multicast now but haven't tested the application.
