I just got the Multicast Tunnel and I am trying to make it work with no success.. :(
I installed it to win xp 32bit, win 7 32bit, win 2003 32bit, and to all I get (error) on the Multicasts Read instead of a counter.
After that I configured my switch to do port mirroring from the port that my NBX is connected to the port that my pc running the multicast tunnel is connected. So the application now is working. I get a counter of UDP packets forwarded.
So my first question is : Is this the correct way to operate this application?

My setup unfortunately for me also includes a call recording system that works with the same way. You have to monitor all ports that you have connected IP phones and it grabs all the packets and translates them to voice files.
That is working fine up to now but, if I have to make mirror for the multicast tunnel I have a problem. I can only have one mirror on the port the nbx is connected!
So I figured out that I could install the multicast tunnel on the same server as the call recording software is running and it getting all traffic from phones and the nbx.
This server to do this has 2 lan cards. One that gets the grabbed packets from the switch port mirroring and one for server connectivity to the world and management.

The problem is that the multicast tunnel application is trying to get input from the management lan card and not the grabbing lan card. If I disable to management card it work fine but, I loose connectivity with the server :(
So The only way I can imagine it if the multicast tunnel has any configuration so you could say that it will listen on the card a (grabbing lan card) on the port 2096 and it will transmit on the b card (management lan card) to the addresses 10.x.x.1:2096, 10.x.x.2:2096 etc.

Has anyone used this application with success?
Please help!

Yes, I have used the app with success.
Are you using the TelRex call recording app?

You do not need port mirroring for the Multicast tunnel app to work.

I also recommend that if you are using the telrex call recording app that you disable TCP/IP ont the SNIFFER interface. TCP/IP is not needed. That will remove the IP address of that card and make the LAN card the only card that communicates with the network.

The app is really simple. It listens on a normal network connection for the multicast traffic, and re-distributes it depending on how you configure the app...
