Hello,
We got a serious problem with a multicast network :
We stream about 15 mpeg2 multicast streams announced via Session Announcement Protocol (SAP).
The network is built with a 3Com-4500G as core fibre switch, and 6 x 48 ports 3com-4500 switches as end side copper distribution.
The streaming server is plugged on the core switch, witch is setted as querier. Both multicast and igmp snooping are enabled on all switches.
When a few clients watch program, everything works fine and igmp snooping does his job very well.
But on middle/heavy load (more clients watching programs), we randomly no receive SAP streams, for 10 to 30 seconds.
Inspecting on the client side with wireshark, it's appears that for some reason, when cut off comes, we receive a membership query with a source address of 0.0.0.0.
If i well understood, this means that the querier didn't received any membership report???
This problem appears only on end side switches are traffic loaded.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks very much by advance
