Hi All,

I have a client with 3 Mitel 3300 controllers, which are all running MCD 7.0 SP1 and are all clustered together.

The customer is wanting a multicall key programmed on extensions across 2 of the systems, but I'm pretty sure this cant be done.

The client has an IT department on 2 sites, they want to provide one number which will ring extensions over both sites - what's the best way to achieve this?

Many thanks, Andy

You can program the 2nd site as an EHDU or you can use a ringing DSS key on the second site

There are other ways but these work best IMHO

This is a set up we used for a customer with 5 sites in a cluster. Program all the IT phones on controller A. For any phone you want to "live" at a remote controller make that phone resilient to that remote controller. Boot and pin the phone to controller A and then take it to controller B and install. The phone will boot on controller B, see its Remote Directory Number entry and register to controller A. You then can program any Multicall or Key System keys on the phones in controller A.

Caveat for SXWizard's solution

If the controllers are not in the same local dialing area you will have a fair bit of ARS programming to route calls appropriately.

What about using a remote DSS/BLF setup with the key set to ring?
On answering the key on the remote site it will put the call on the prime extension of the phone.
