Is there some method or control that can be used to display multi-page TIF images in webpages build in PHP?

Thanks,

TIF is not a browser supported format. PHP can do nothing to change that.

However, there some options to turn TIFFs into PDF's for viewing in a browser though, they may work for you.

Alternatively, you can manually change the TIFF's to a supported format, such a PNG or JPG. However, I think turning hem into PDF's may better preserve the information they contain.

I have not used it, but i believe that simpleviewer offers tiff display. There may well be many other flash controls that can do the same.

Thanks jpadie - I'll look into SimpleViewer.

Unfortunately, SimpleViewer can load JPG, GIFs, PNGs and SWFs. Any other file types (text, video etc) are not supported.

But I appreciate the lead - still looking.

how curious. the blurb that i read this morning spoke of tiff files specifically.

ah. you need to use a mac or have a windows installation with java advanced Imaging IO Tools installed.

is this an acceptable constraint? i guess whatever web control you use the visiting OS will need to have the ability to view tiff files.

It might be.
