Hi All,
I am in the process of designing a load system to satisfy our business needs.
In our shop we use Fastloads, Multi-loads(source is one file and target is one table), BTEQ's, etc.
For example:
I have the following 2 files:
1) Credit file - Contains APPL-ID as the key.
2) Product file - Contains multiple products for the same Application - APPL_ID.
Can I use the 'Where' clause to Qualify my INSERT statements having the above 2 files in my the Multi-loads using 2 source layout? If this is possible, then it takes care of R.I.
The alternative is to load all records into temporary tables - these temporary tables have no keys (as opposed to Volatile tables) and then use BTEQ - give SQL commands - our DBA's want us to avoid usage of Temporary tables (big issue with disk space!!!).
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Paul
