multi-line field

I'm working on a form that has mult-line fields, e.g.,

Give directions to project site. _________________

_______________________________________

_______________________________________

The multi-line option doesn't seem to work for me. Do I need to make a separate field for each line? Or is there a trick for doing this?

I'm not sure why you need that, but I assume it's a legacy requirement of some kind. Typically, report fields grow to fit the text. A text object would give you the blank lines you need if the info is to be hand-written after the report is printed. Otherwise I would suspect that some OPal is in order to fill the rest of a partially completed field with underscores. However, Lance may have some tricks up his sleeve. Mac

Um, what do you mean the multi-line option doesn't seem to work for you? Are you using a form or report? Which version of Paradox? DOS? Windows?

Also, what effect are you trying to achieve? The lines? Or are you simply trying to place an alpha or memo field and get it to word wrap?

Perhaps it's still the fact that I'm working on my first cup of coffee in the morning, but I could use a wee bit more info to know which trick Mac thinks I'm going to pull a rabbit out of.
