Im investigating hardware that can be integrated with a point of sale terminals which at a minimum allows the returning of the incoming phone calls number.

Secondary functionality i would like is:
1. Support multiple phone lines simultaneously.
2. Support answering of a call.
3. Support holding of a call.
4. Support ending of a call.
5. Support transfering of a call to another line.

I understand what software will need to be written to communicate with such a device. Im just looking for a recommendation for hardware that can accomplish this?

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

I know Aloha can only use CallerID.com for the hardware called "Whozz Calling" 2,4 and 8 line aloha chipset. No dip switches or configuration needed. They also have a basic version that needs configuration. There is also Rochelle at for models 2045 and model 2050.

Do you have a specific POS system in mind? Most already integrate to something already for caller ID so you shouldn't have to write the software.
