Multi-line analog telephone - wireless headset compatible

Anyone have any recommendations for a 3 or 4 line telephone that is compatible with a wireless headset? This is for a hair salon that only has a phone at the reception desk. They don't need a key system. They currently have a 4-line phone but it is old and giving them static and they are ready to update.

The problem you will have is selecting the line when you are away from the phone. If that is not a problem, Plantronics has several options you could use, as do other companies.
Another option you might consider is a portable wireless phone using DECT 6 type technology. You can buy them with a base and however many remote handsets will go on the system. These can usually be fitted with headsets quite easily, then clip on a belt for handsfree operation. Usually each remote handset can access all lines, so you just choose the one you want and go.

Hello Direct recommended an AT&T Model 1070 4-line phone with Jabra GN9125 wireless headset. I've forwarded that info to the hair salon and waiting on their response. I appreciate your responses.

I'll have to look at that. I've never seen a wireless headset that would allow you to do anything more than answer the phone and hang up - anything else would require you to be at the phone to push buttons - it would be cool to see something that lets you choose a line....

I know on key/pbx systems you can program the phone to just answer whatever line is ringing when you pick it up, but that's not what you are looking for and only works if you're not already on the phone!

Oh I agree donb01. With the handset lifter, they can remotely answer but that's about it. They'll still need to be by the phone to do anything else. If they don't get the handset lifter, they can't do anything remotely. Just walk around and talk.

I know it NOT only one phone but if you set up a ACD type( providing the numbers are in the same 1000 group, you service provider should be able to set up a rotary so all number will come on the one line).

You can get a Panasonic KXTD 4x8 it is a hybrid system.

You would have digital station and in tandem an analog station that you plug in the back of the phone, then you get some Plantronics C 14 or Calisto, and can use to put call on hold, transfer, etc.

Per my first post, search the web for 4 line DECT 6.0 phones. There are many options out there and you can have multiple handsets. Don't be tempted to go cheap. You don't need to worry about programming for the most part, they come all ready to use. (speed dials etc are easy to set up usually and can often be propogated across all phones automatically)

Here is another option that is not inexpensive, but will work most anywhere. This is very popular in industrial settings for the single-line version, but they also have a 4-line version. You would have to still carry a cordless phone around, but you would have access to all 4 lines....

Since the single-line version runs around $650 US I would assume this version would start around $800+
