We have two MXeII boxes running MCD 4 connected via ip trunking.

We use embedded vm in our company with one of the MXe's setup to host all the voicemail boxes.

The site where an MXe is located which does not host any voicemails boxes we want a DID setup with a multi level auto attendant, but it appears the voicemail boxes need to be setup locally on the MXe which does not currently host voicemail boxes now( but has the DID ). I get an error in the form when i try to do it any other way.

So my question is which this scenerio is there anyway that i can keep all my voicemail boxes on the one MXe?

thanks

yes, there are a few ways to do this. First we need to know how you sites are set up. Clustered or just IP trunks, does the 1 MXe host mailboxes for the ext's on the MXe without vmail or just its local ext.

The DID is no different than any standard DN as far as VM integration is concerned. Route the DID to VM (same as any other DN on that system except on a always condition) and setup the MLAA as required.

Just IP trunks currently, we hope to have them clustered soon. the 1 MXe host mailboxes for local ext and MXe without voicemails.

In MLAA i got an error that the voicemail box or ext. was not found, since i didnt have one setup locally.

Can you be more specific?

VM hunt group on system 1 is _____
DID on system 2 is _____
A standard DN routes to VM via _____
A mailbox matching DID on sys2 has been created on sys1 Y/N
The DID on sys2 has been routed to the VM on sys1 Y/N

kwbMitel, thanks for your reply. While answering those questions and repeating the steps i took, i think i have an idea, and im going to try it this evening and give feedback on how it goes.

The DID on system2 is actually a huntgroup though..

ill post tomorrow.

thanks

The DID being a huntgroup should not matter except that setting lamps becomes convoluted.
