Mitel 3300 MXe - Release MCD 4.0 SP1

I had a telco rep assist me with our companies’ first implementation of ACD with 10 agents. We have extension 1034 setup as a menu node with Menu options 1 & 2 pointing to Mailbox # 1 & 2 with extension 5101 and 5102 as transfer only mailboxes with 5101 being an English Path Directory Number and 5102 being a Spanish directory number. The issue is that we used mailbox #1 and #2 so if someone is in the auto attendant and presses either 1 or 2 they get forwarded to English or Spanish line of the MLAA. My question is do we need Transfer only boxes, or can Menu option 1 or 2 point directly to the Path Directory Number?

MB # - Extension Number
1034 - 1034 (Menu Node)

1 - 5101 (Transfer Only)
2 - 5102 (Transfer Only)

Thanks!

Don't use single digit mailboxes unless you want them accessable from the Main AA.

Create Transfer only Mailboxes 5101 and 5102 and designate these mailboxes as the #1 and #2 options from the Menu Node.

Do you guys have any sort of documentation for ACD and MLAA on the 3300??

The built in help file is quite useful for both applications

kwbmitel, thanks for the quick response. I made the change and all is well. I am curious why transfer always mailboxes have to be present before path directory numbers?

thanks

you can only input mailboxes as the dial option in MLAA mailboxes. To transfer a call ANYWHERE using a MLAA you must have an assoc MB.
