I have been asked to create a multi-language kiosk for a tradeshow. The intent is to run a video with a text window next to it. I need to have language buttons on the bottom of the screen, so while the video is running a user can change the language of the voice-over and the supporting text. I also need to do this "on the fly" without having to start the movie over form the beginning. I would assume I will need to switch between multiple tracks running simultaneously. Is this correct? Can this be done with Director MX 2004?

Yes, you can use up to 8 sound channels using Lingo. You could have them all playing simultaneously but only have the selected one unmuted and for the text on the selected language set the visiblity to true and the others false.

On thinking about this, this option might me a bit processor intensive and there may be a more efficient method for performance sake???
