Hi all,
Does anyone have recommendations on how to handle employees that work for multiple companies from within the same office? We have three sister companies that some employees could work for all three, but commonly might be only two.
The options as I see them:
1) Additional phones, DNs, and mailboxes for each
2) Combo of physical and soft phones, DNs, and mailboxes for each
3) One phone, multiple DNs pointing to the phone those lines displayed on the phone, one mailbox w/ a generic VM message?
Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to handle this? They would love to know which company they are being called for and if not available.
I'm thinking that I'll just point 1, 2, or 3 DNs to a phone and display those lines on the set. I'll explain that the top line is company a, middle company b, and bottom company c (is there a way to label lines on 1140e's?). I'll also explain that their voicemail has to be generic. The draw back may be that whoever is leaving a voicemail may not leave enough detail for the employee to be able to determine which company they were calling for.
Again, any recommendations would be great!
