I created a multicolumn report in Access 97 and everything seems to be working great with one exception:

I need 8 columns per page, but for some reason the first record always prints in the second column from the left vs. the first. It completely skips the first column and goes directly to second. And since now it is only diplaying 7 columns, it goes to a second page (which is ok because sometimes there may be more than 8 records per group), but on the second page it prints in the first column. Why? Who knows????

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, I should mention that I am a novice.

One more thing...same report...can I specify which column to start printing from? I need to specify to start printing the records in column 8 thru 1 vs. 1 thru 8. Can Access print from Right to Left?

Thanks!!!
Ionela

maybe you have a blank in the first record or perhaps the data in that column is too wide for the 1st column.

The first record is not blank, and I made sure that it would have enough room on the page by adjusting page and column settings.
