Please help
I need to group a set of numbers in the details section in different columns, e.g.
1,3,4,8,23,30,31,34,36
etc.(these numbers are from access database, one to many relationship)
to appear as follows
1 31
3 34
4 36
8
23
30

All numbers from 1-30 to be in column one, numbers above 30 in column two etc.

This is an unusual problem.
A detail row in Crystal Reports corresponds to one row in the table. In your example, how would you define the relationship between the two columns in each detail row? Does your database have this relationship defined in any way?
As I suspect your database does not have this relationship defined, what you need is two subreports within a single report, each of which prints out the list of IDs. One prints the ID's up to 30, the other over 30. Put these subreports in any section of the report. The main report can have any datasource, as long as it returns just one row.
This restrictin can be achieved using the record selection formula.
No link between the main report and the subreports is needed.

Thanks Malcolm for speedy reply. I have never created a sub-report, so I shall find out how it is done. I shall let you know if it works
