I did an install of FreeBSD 3.1 from the cdrom. I have NT server 4 with NT on the Master eide drive and freebsd on the slave eide drive. During the install I had it install the BootManager, but every time that I reboot my comp, the NTLDR comes up and doesnt give me the option for freebsd.

I have yet to be able to boot into FreeBSD.
How can I get multiboot to work? What is the best os loader to use and how do I configure it. (i.e. NTLDR vs. BootManager or BootEasy)
Hmmm....do you have your NTLDR on a separate partition of the primary drive? (or is it on the main partition)?
-Robherc
robherc@netzero.net

*nix installation & program collector/reseller. You should try System Commander for your boot manager needs.
It is by far the easiest boot manager I've found so far.
I manage a production house with 30+ pcs dual booting between NT4 and Solaris. It works great. SYS. Com. can handle as many OSs as you can through at it. And will boot between desparate disks.
Intallation is a breeze. Install NT, install Sys. Com.,
if your second OS is already on the second drive, just reboot after Sys. Com. is installed and it should detect your Unix partition and away you go.
System Commander comes with a partition manager that will resize fat32 and fat16 but not unix or NTFS partitions.
When you want to install another OS there is a wizard to guide you through it.
The boot manager for NT and Freebsd are not touched after the install of Sys. Com. but they are annoying, you can turn the selection time for NT down to zero on the My Computer > properties > startup/shutdown and Hardware profiles tabs.
