I cloned our database server and put it on another computer and find that our database on the new server doesn't allow multi access to the tables. If one device is currently accessing it the other program cannot use it. Is there something I am missing or need to install?

First, you need to set the network switch on the database. This is explained in the manual. That will prevent corruption from multi access.

Next you probably have an issue with dbase keeping the tables open while they're being edited. Instead they need to be cached. That is you have dbase grab the relevant data, push it into a local holding file, and then keep that holding file open. When you're done with that have the information in the holding file pushed back into the database. This way you're not keeping the table open all the time. In practice you could still get locks but they should be rare. Instead each database should be "locked" for less then a second while information is copied into the holding file. Locks will only occur if two people try to access the same portion of the database at the exact same instant.

That's the concept anyway... the programming is pretty simple... review your manual.
