newbie alert!!
we have just upgraded our software on our meriden 11. i can not remember if its the otm or mat (windows based).

however, as its 3 months till my training session, a change was needed. on the extesion i have set one of the keys to mcr (no ring) for another extesion. this now needs to be removed, and when i do this, and sync, it comes back with an error saying the TN number needs to removed. i have tried all things, but dont seem to be able to remove it. the syn status says theres that the extension isnt synched at the moment.

great site btw

How comfortable are you with logging into the switch and using the command line interface? You get a much better feel for what is going on in the switch through this interface rather than relying on the error prone MAT or OTM apps.

i feel that there is only one way to learn - and that is the hard way!! :D

if u will be so kind as to point me how to log in etc etc and then i will give it a try!

Go to your maintenance terminal. If there is, for example, a Procomm or Hyperterminal session set up for PBX admin, click on the Icon. If not, there is a menu option in MAT (and probably one in OTM) for a terminal session. Hit <Enter> and you should get a prompt with an idle message. Then, login from there...
