Hi

I'm new to Visual Interdev, I'm studying a Microsoft course and have to pass the exam. There is a chapter dedicated to Microsoft Transaction server. I'm running win2000 and I can't seem to find MTS, does anyone know if this still exists and do you still need to study it to pass the exam?

thanks

It's called Component Services in 2000 and works alot like MTS.

Windows 2000 has merged the features of COM, MTS and the message server thing. The result is called COM+.

The reason is that MTS could 'host' non-transactional components, as well as database ones. Thus it became a handy container for any old DLL that you needed to provoke across the net. (Content Management)
