My question: Is MTS capable of transferring data between a dbaseIV database and a datawarehouse running under oracle 7.3/8.0

MTS itself does not perform any data transfer/manipulation. It is up to your program to provide that functionality. What MTS does do for you is manage your COM components, and allow you to specify a number of operations that comprise a transaction. If any of those operations fail, all of the operations are rolled back.
Since MSAccess supports the Dbase format, I assume that you can use the Access OLEDB provider, along with the Oracle OLEDB provider, to transfer data using ADO.
