MSWORD will not work

Hi Folks,
i had office 97 installed, was working in word, computer froze and i ctrl>alt>selete to restart computer. Word would not work. all the other office97 components worked. So i deleted office <thru control panel...add/remove> then reboot and reinstall. STILL DONT work in word. Any suggestions, i have tried to delete the office97 folder and reinstall, ran dos chkdsk. I am at a loss.

Start-Find-Files or folders, named:

normal.dot


Delete the file. Relaunch Word. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Sounds like one of the registry keys is causing the problem.

If you are happy in regedit, delete all of the ms office keys in hkey/localmachine totally.

If you are unhappy you might be lucky using regclean.
