MSWORD still runs in "processes"

I have users that use the shortcut key to exit MSWORD (ALT + F4). The problem that I am having is at times MSWORD does not completely remove itself from memory. Users will have a memory error and after checking the task manager, I will find that MSWORD is not listed under "applications" but it is still running under "processes." The documents that the users work with have several macros--I'm wondering if I don't need to include a routine so that when the document is closed, MSWORD also removes itself from the processes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

If so, then Microsoft should be informed. Killing the app. should kill the app.'s macros.

Have u checked the MS knowledge base for known bugs?

Darrylle,
I have not contacted support on this issue, I wanted to check this forum so see if anyone else experiences this problem OR if I need to add some coding to shut down MSWORD. I think what you are telling me is that if the users hit the shortcut key of "Alt + F4" this should end the processes as well as the running application. Sometimes it does, sometimes only the application ends. I'll start searching MS knowledge base to see if I can resolve this issue.

Thanks for your input on this.

Diane
