Hi, I'd like to know how do I remove those marks from Word (check image below), I checked all the options and could not find anything... They do not show when I print, but I see them all the time on the edges of the page while working and they annoy me.
Here is the link:
Many thanks in advance, kind regards,
Marton

Hi,

These marks are Text Boundaries.

In an English Word I go to Tools, Options, then the View tab, and under "Print & Web Layout Options" you will find Text Boundaries or its equivalent. Remove the tick and you are done.

Good Luck,

Peter Moran

No, they are crop marks and are caused by having Asian Language support enabled. Run the Microsoft Office Language Setup and disable Asian languages.

Peter is right. They are Text Boundaries. If I check Text Boundaries, I would see those, too, even though I do not have Asian Language support enebled.

I always have text boundaries enabled - ALWAYS - and I have NEVER had the crop marks displaid. I can absolutely assure you that they are special markers for Asian languages, many of which are right to left and/or bottom to top.

Children, children!

tf1 is right. The marks are crop marks and are the result (in Word 2002 as per the question) of having an Asian language enabled.

The behaviour of showing text boundaries with or without crop marks is version-dependent.

Enjoy,
Tony

I feel like I'm being scolded in the playground :)

It was all tongue-in-cheek.

It was the Asian language support! I installed the Proofing Tools the other day, and that was it! Now I removed it and everything's back to normal :)
Many thanks for your help!!

Thanks for the confirmation.
