Whenever I go to any website, 50% of the time it gives an error and asks me to send an error report.
If I click on "click here", the file msvcrt.dll is there.
I have win98 with all the updates installed and don't know what to do.

Start > Run > type in sfc > RUN > restore file(s) when prompted (you've likely got a damaged/altered file)

sorry, that did not work. I had a couple of damaged files. I restored them on the win98 cd.
Any more suggestions?

Go to start > Run > type in regsvr32 mscvrt.dll and hit OK > wait for confirmation.

Still acting up? Post your error. Otherwise, we're kind of shooting in the dark.

yes....post your error....click on the info button (or something there) and type or copy and paste just the first two or three lines
using IE6?
start > run MSCONFIG
Tools menu >> Internet Exploder Repair Tool .....choose REPAIR, not restore.
