MSVC like modeless dialogs

Anyone could give me any idea on where to start looking for something about how to create modeless/dockable dialogs like those in msvc IDE?

I am talking about workspace view, output etc. These are modeless dialogs, but I just cannot find how on earth can I make them look like in MSVC ide.
