MSTR , Database and performance

Hi all,
I am new to MSTR .Recently i happened to give a introductory seminar on MSTR to DW programmers who worked on TERADATA and some other OLAP tool other than MSTR .They asked me this question-:
* What performance benefits will MSTR give if we use TeraData instead of other Databases.
I dont know anything about Teradata.So,please tell me if anybody knows the answer.
And please excuse me if U find this question stupid.

That sounds like "why is teradata better than other databases" Tough question to answer in a forum. But you can always check with a database guru.

If you use MSTR, the sql generated will be optimized for TD. eg volatile tables.
