We are implementing a new project to bring HR data into our DW (specifically PeopleSoft). My question is for those of you who have HR data modeled, how do you handle the history of an employee? What would your table(s) look like? Do they perform well? As we are working on a conceptual model we are finding that answering business questions that pertain to an employees history could be challeging from a reporting perspective. Would like to hear any advice, learnings, or modeling suggestions you have.
