MSTR 7.2: Can Crystal 9 Reports Be Imported ??

We just purchased MSTR 7.2 last week are are a ways from implementation. A user has asked if they can import their current Crystal 9 reports into MSTR, and I'm not really sure. Anyone know??

short answer no.

You can not import them, but you could use Narrowcast Server to deliver them! Of course, they would be static reports at this point, but I am sure that would work.
Here, we are using it to deliver our "old" Focus report while we are building/expanding our current MicroStrategy project. From the user point of view, this is much better, they only go to one interface to get all their reports and we bought us time to build the project right (as opposed to "too fast"...).

Flb, out of curiosity, why did you not use WebFocus? Sounds like a perfect fit to transfer focus reports to webfocus?

We are transitioning from Focus to MicroStrategy. Focus is way too complex to keep up to date/.... Furthermore, we are moving the report development from the 100% technical people to the business analyst. The goal being that some end users will be able to design basic reports. We decided to use MicroStrategy for those reason (and a few others that I will not list here). We do not own WebFocus, do not want to maintain two different systems. We are changing our department-focused reporting systems to an enterprise reporting system. No way we were going to put another patch on top of the other patch....
Using NCS helped us reused what we had but allow for an easy migration from the end user point of view (they go to a single interface to get everything). [Did I mentioned that part of our BI deployment integrated MSI with Siebel portal?]
