Hi, I am using NWS 7.3.2 on win2k3, MSSQL agent installed on SQL 2005 client.

I backup the DB with save set "MSSQL", backup command "nsrsqlsv" and backup level "full" on everyday successfully.
My question is that how to backup the transaction logs only? is it just change the backup level to "incr" is enough?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes you're right. If you want to backup the transaction logs you should run an incremental backup. This will backup all transaction logs and truncate them. A full backup doesn't truncate the logs so running incrementals is a good idea to not let the logs take up to much space.
