I am getting an error on some of our servers with the following:

17052 :
This SQL Server has been optimized for 8 concurrent queries. This limit has been exceeded by 4 queries and performance may be adversely affected.

Backup Exec 10d and Windows 2003 server. It seems to temporarily lock up the server right before this happens. Not sure if BE is causing this or not. I found another closed thread here, but it looks like it was not answered:

Can anyone help. Thanks.

I too am having the same problem with MSSQL$Backupexec error 17883. I'm running BE on a IBM NAS.

Often, I can't connect remotely to the NAS so I have to re-boot. When checking the event logs it is always the same.

MSSQLBACKUPEXEC ERROR: 17883, Severity:1, State:0
The scheduler 0 appears to be hung. SPID0, ECID0, UMS Context 0x00BF81D8.

Please help. I really need to know if anything can be done about this
