Getting interchangably 1767 & 1769 events where daily a single event appears on each MAS (2-MAS MSS backend MM 2.0) stating:
1767 - Unable to retrieve PostmasterMail
1769 - Unable to retrieve postmaster address
What is the difference between these two items?

if it is appearing during the backup ignore it.

They are really the same as it is saying it can't find the email address and therefore can't retrieve the mail for it.

Ken, both MAS are not backing up to the MSS. I can see the \\mss1\masbackup on MAS1 but not on MAS2. If it can't find the backup share... would this be another indicator that the MAS is having difficulty seeing the MSS.

I can logon with all logins but when I am on the dom-admin account it still asks for the login/password to the backup share and won't recognize the password.

I have joined the MSS to the domain again but still getting the same message.

Are you having any other issues? I assume that if you look at the domain that you see the MSS and MAS2 as computers (members)in the domain. how are you finding the MSS\masbackup on mas1 it should not be mapped on any of the MAS's

I assume that you get 1027's in the app log on both MAS's when a chage or add is made in the MSS ?
