I'd like to be able to set-up my home-office linux server as a proxy to MSN Messenger; so that I could point my MSN Messenger client to my linux server when I'm out on customer sites - which block the MSN messenger sites - and use MSN Messenger like that.

Does anyone know of a proxy server that will do this?

You can use try using SSH tunneling to bounce the ports through your linux box. That way you're (1) secure at the customer site, and (2) NOT building a proxy....

I believe googling for SSH port forwarding will get you started.

Ok, thank you - I'll look at that.
