MSN Messenger and my computer...

My computer keeps freezing.
I think it's related to use of msn messenger,
but i have no away to prove it.It often freezes when i run several programs like winamp, internet explorer, and msnmessenger. (messenger is almost always on so i assume that it's causing the problem.)

my computer is amd athlon 1700 (1.44ghz)
512(memory) using Windows 2000 professional.

does anyone have any idea why my computer keeps freezing?
it's kind of annoying. if you know any possibility please write me back.

By freezing, do you mean totally crashing, or locking up for a while then continuing to work?

Either way, first I would check in the event viewer (start button -> settings -> control panel -> administrative tools -> event viewer )to see if anything was kicking up serious problems.

MSNmessenger is probably the only piece of Microsoft software I dont have (much) trouble with 8)
